Well said, Brynners.

“The four suspects at the news conference all confessed to involvement and said they were sorry for what they had done. One of them wept.”
I guess in one regard I should be angry at this men. Angry at them for having such hatred in their hearts that they would brutally murder innocent people. Angry at them for calming this was done in the name of a religion that does not preach to attack. Angry at them for not realizing their attacks do nothing but bring a greater retaliatory response to themselves.
But, I’m not really. I feel sorry for them. I think in some regards these groups are as bad as the LRA. In certain areas of the world, this is all people know. All though they are not abducted, I feel their minds are. They do not know that some of the propaganda they have been given is not truth, and they are just doing what they are told.  Or, like the case of these men, they are drawn in at their most vulnerable time in an almost cult like indoctrination. I do not mean they are blameless, but to me it is clear they do need to be rescued.
I am not angry. I forgive them. I pray their eyes are opened to the world beyond what they know, for by the fact that the show remorse they know there is another way of life. I pray they will be rescued.

Work as hard as you can. If you aren’t working as hard as you can, someone else is out there working as hard as they can. Those people who are working harder than you deserve opportunities more than you do, so stop making excuses for why you aren’t working hard and just work hard. When you feel like you’re working as hard as you can possibly work, work a little harder and you are probably getting close to how hard you actually have to work. Do more shows. Take more classes. Watch more shows. Meet more people. Challenge yourself. Don’t expect anyone to hand anything to you. If you aren’t exhausted all the time, you probably aren’t working hard enough.

Love is more than a feeling and more than a choice. It’s a recognition of the value of someone. When a relationship is valuable to us, we seek it out, we protect it, we cultivate it and we don’t want to lose it.
So solid.  Thanks, Pete.

Last night at the Do Something Awards I wore a personally designed “I HEART NATE HENN” Shirt to show my love and respect for Nate, who was tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Uganda. Nate was a great dude who worked for Invisible Children and it’s horrible that a random act of violence took away such a bright and awesome guy. If you’d like to do something, please honor Nate and donate to his memorial fund at www.NateHenn.com

So dark and so good - I love this intro sequence.

Nate Henn: A Legacy to Carry On

There is no safer place in all the universe than under the wings of the sovereign, all-wise, all loving God.  But the shadow of these wings may take us to dangerous places in the cause of love.  You may be martyred in the shadow of the Almighty.  But you will not have wasted your life…when you die in the cause of love”

- Piper
